At 3 weeks of age he was found with an injury to his back, probably as a result from an attack from another bird. The wound was severely infected and required a lot of attention. Because of the handling necessary to treat his injury, we believe he is human imprinted and therefore cannot be returned to the wild. Keawah came to us in 2008 from the South Carolina Aquarium. He is now participating in educational programs and enjoying life at the American Eagle Foundation. With A $75 Donation, You Can Adopt Keawah!
