Hope

Hope is a female Bald Eagle who arrived at the American Eagle Foundation's education, breeding and rehabilitation center in Pigeon Forge, TN on May 28, 1995. She was found on a beach in Yakutat, Alaska unable to fly. There was a fracture of the left distal radius and two fractures of the left ulna. The cause of the break is unknown.

Hope lives in the AEF's "Eagle Mountain Sanctuary" aviary on the Dollywood entertainment park in Pigeon Forge, TN with a group of eagles. Here she will have an opportunity to choose a mate. Some day, Hope may select a mate and raise healthy young that can be released into the wild. The AEF releases all of the young eaglets produced at its facility.

Hope is viewed and appreciated by about two million Dollywood visitors annually.
